On arrival at Harvey Nichols, I met the wonderful London Harvey Nichols concierges, who delivered a selection of fruit juices and shortbread to the Beauty bloggers, makeup lovers, and fan's of Rihanna.

This was much needed breakfast fuel, As I had travelled  from Kent at 5.30am for the 8.00am start, this was the the exclusive global Fenty Beauty launch.


After a short wait, on receiving our Fenty umbrellas, and wrist bands, we were led into the luxury store, just four Makeup obsessed ladies at a time. The awaiting Harvey Nichols management, and accompanying press photographers greeted us warmly and Celebrity DJ The Nate James was just as excited at our arrival, pumping out the Urban tunes to the awaiting crowd. 


The Fenty Beauty staff looked stunning, I was impressed that they were extremely knowledgeable on the products, shades, and were offering colour swatches to all the bloggers, and makeup customers as we were moving nearer to the beauty counters. Hip Hop and ballet dancers dancers skillfully worked their way down the shop floor. 

We were finally on our way to the treasure trove of makeup behind the roped section of the store. One at a time we were signed into the Harvey Nichols Reward Service App, clearly they were aware, of the awesome spending power of makeup customers especially with this new range of diverse makeup line by Rihanna.




Visually the counters were chic, urban yet edgy with simple packaging and sleek designed products easily visible. Killawatt and the Pro Filtr items were the most popular products, after the foundation line, most of the people in the line were discussing which items they were most interested in purchasing.




Rihanna's favourite hilighter Killawatt in 'Trophy Wife' is also my favourite product, the price points for the brand are accessible to all budgets. I loved this creamy powder hilighter, it can be used everywhere, collarbone, cheeks, underbrow, eyes, and shone brightly on everyone who tried it on. 
the brand has catered for all races from the lightest to darkest skin complexion. The array of different application methods, including colour combinations of the Match stix, were simply fabulous on the Fenty Beauty staff.  Available in 6 colours, they are light in texture and very easy to apply, a creamy touch on application, the pigment payoff is awesome...

Killowatt was the item everyone was looking for, as Rihanna had been seen wearing this product in the Press at New York Fashion Week prior to the Launch.

The Pro Filtr Soft Matte Longstay foundations came in light, medium, tan and deep in an impressive 40 colours, a range that delivers amazing colour play to all races. You  are able to wear this with confidence, great skin matching, non creasing, another exciting feature of this product is that it is are also buildable in depth, cleverly developed so that you can deepen the coverage by simply layering.

An innovative technique giving a full, natural, or subtle finish depending on the look you wish to achieve. 

Beauty editors, bloggers, social media gurus and makeup lovers are raving about the quality of the Pro Filtr Retouch Primer that is oil- free, leaving the skin soft and radiant, this foundation stayed matte, with out the chalky feel, a smooth light texture, I was really impressed. The feminine muted glass packaging is easy to use, with no wastage of products, allowing full use of the contents available inside.

Invisimatte blotting powder, was also another favourite at the Launch, a product that Rihanna has developed to diffuse the look of open pores, and to absorb shine that can break through, especially in photographs. I discovered that you can touch up over and over, without any colour change to your foundation, great for my brides and those women and makeup users who suffer with break through shine.

The Gloss Bomb Lip illuminizer is for every skin colour, a fantastic rose nude shine, that smells divine with a faint peachy vanilla fragrance, I am addicted to this, and so are my clients. A Lip coverage packed with moisturising shea butter, it is fabulously glossy without the stickiness with a gold top chubby casing, lots of product. For superb and easy contouring, concealing and hilighting, I suggest you check out the Match Stix in Matte and shimmer, that easily glide onto the skin, even if you are not a contour pro they are so easy to use and blend like a dream. 

I am pleasantly surprised and so proud that Fenty Beauty has taken time to develop a skin base range that deals with the most important aspect of makeup, getting the skin colour and texture right and with such a vast selection of shades she did not fail to deliver, exceptional quality products, at great prices.

The marketing and PR for Fenty Beauty was in full force for one of the most anticipated Beauty Launches the Cosmetic Industry has seen for many years. Knightsbridge tube was transformed into Fenty Beauty Makeup world.

The impressive counterspace was designed by Sheridan Retail, whose colour concept, structures and visual displays cleverly expressed the BadGal Riri vision for the Chic Beauty Line in Harvey Nichols UK stores.
